Growing season notes:
2018 was a near-perfect growing season.  An abundance of early rain led to a very even, warm summer, without any significant heat spikes which allowed for very balanced ripening.  We harvested on September 11 at 22.40 Brix.

Winemaking notes:
The 2018 Seated Cloud was whole-cluster-pressed, fermentation was initiated in the tank and then barreled down to 100% neutral French oak for continued fermentation and aging. We continued using the process of batonnage, which produces a weightier, more age-worthy Sauvignon Blanc. 141 cases produced.

Tasting notes:
The ‘18 Sauvignon Blanc is a bit leaner than prior vintages. It exhibits less dense tropical fruit than years past, with “fresher” notes of honeysuckle and pineapple, and nice minerality.
